First Baptist Church of Montezuma is a historical church with a steep history, but one that is not stuck in the past, for it is a New Day for FBCM.
We have a Renewed Focus in seeing people come to saving grace in Jesus Christ, are Re-committed to the ministries of the local church, and are Reignited to be on fire for Jesus in all that we do as a church and as His people.
First Baptist Church of Montezuma exists to Encounter Christ, Equip Disciples, and Engage the Nations.
Encounter Christ: This is the foundational step, focusing on individuals finding a personal relationship with Jesus, experiencing His presence, and understanding His teachings
Equip Disciples: This stage involves nurturing believers, providing them with the tools and knowledge (likely from Scripture) to grow spiritually and live out their faith daily.
Engage the Nations: This is the outward-focused aspect, sending out equipped believers to share the Gospel and make disciples in different cultures and countries, fulfilling the biblical mandate to reach the world.
In essence, First Baptist Church of Montezuma's mission is a journey of faith: from initial encounter, through spiritual development, to global outreach.
Ron & Claudia Henderson Mini-Concert
Join us on Sunday morning, July 26, at 11:00 am for a mini-concert and worship with Ron and Claudia Henderson. Ron and Claudia are music evangelists and have been leading congregations in worship for over 50 years. You are cordially invited to come and bring friends on this 4th Sunday Special Singing.
A special love offering will be taken up, for they are full-time evangelists who travel from church to church, so please pray about how you can support their ministry. (Completely voluntary)
